    Aston Martin Works

Full body-off restoration commissioned by the 2017 owner and executed by Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell. The body was chemically stripped, new panels formed in 16-gauge aluminium using factory tooling, and the whole car refinished in the original California Sage. The cabin was completely re-trimmed in period-correct Red Connolly hide with new carpets and headlining. The chassis was sand-blasted, realigned, and painted in factory-correct colours including red oxide in the footwells.

Work began in the first quarter of 2018 and was completed by mid-2021; the quoted cost was £425,000. The brief specified returning the car to its original Barcelona show specification.
