Built to the higher-performance 160 bhp specification restricted to European markets that year, the car subsequently underwent a comprehensive bare-metal restoration costing approximately $90,000, supervised by Porsche specialist James Schrager and involving a full engine and transmission rebuild, fresh bodywork in original colour, and a new interior.
