- 2.5L inline-six with three Weber 40DC03 carburetors, approximately 30 bhp above original output

A 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Berlinetta Competizione recreation, chassis 913191, built on an original Lungo-specification chassis and period-correct SS engine sourced in Poland. Over eight years beginning in 2001, Australian restorer HVR transformed the car into a meticulous representation of the aerodynamically refined Touring-bodied racer that competed at the 1940 Mille Miglia. The rebuilt engine, handformed aluminium bodywork, and period-accurate interior have been widely documented and admired at concours events in Australia.
