1963 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL 'Pagoda' W113 development car
- Colour
- Orange Metallic with black hardtop

A 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL of exceptional historical significance, this car served as a factory development vehicle ordered in the name of Professor Fritz Nallinger, Mercedes-Benz's head of research and development and the driving force behind the W113 programme. Registered to Daimler-Benz AG on 11 June 1963 and designated internally as Experimental Vehicle Ut, test car number 8, it is believed to be the first 230 SL fitted with automatic transmission and power steering. Finished in Orange Metallic over turquoise leather — matching the Geneva Show car — it retains its original matching-numbers body, chassis, and engine, along with a largely unrestored interior. Documented test reports, internal correspondence with Rudolf Uhlenhaut, and a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Heritage research report accompany the car.
