Chassis LML/50/19 is an Aston Martin DB2 widely regarded as the first-ever Vantage-specification example, distinguished by its higher-compression twin-SU engine and rare 'washboard' triple grille — one of only three DB2 Vantages so equipped. Delivered in December 1950 to American amateur racer William 'Bill' Spear, it competed at the inaugural Sebring six-hour race that same month, finishing 15th overall and 2nd in class. The car spent most of its life in the United States and participated in the 2009 Mille Miglia Storica.
