The Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A (W187) is a rare open two-to-three seat variant of the post-war 220 series, of which only 1,278 examples were built. Introduced in 1951, the model was notable for its modern faired headlamps and an innovative oversquare 2,195 cc SOHC inline-six engine whose derivatives remained in production into the 1970s. This example underwent an exhaustive restoration completed in 2000 and has accumulated fewer than 20 miles since, remaining in near-new condition.
