The Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 Series III, chassis 4123, was the eighth of 300 third-series examples produced, completed on 8 January 1963 and originally delivered through the Genoese dealer Parauto in Amaranth Metallic over beige Connolly leather. First owned in the Rapallo area, the car was exported to the United States in 1972, passing through several American owners before returning to Europe, where a restoration including a silver-grey metallic repaint was carried out in Switzerland in 1992. It retains its matching-numbers Colombo V12 engine and carries a Massini provenance report.
