Chassis 4827 is a late-production Lamborghini Miura P400 S, completed at the factory on 28 December 1970 and among the final fifteen examples built. As one of the last cars off the line, it incorporates several running-production improvements including a reinforced chassis and ventilated disc brakes. First delivered to a Belgian owner through dealer Socaria in January 1971, the car passed through Belgian and Italian hands before entering its current ownership via RM Sotheby's in 2012. It retains matching, original body panels and presents in yellow over black Nero leather.

Maintenance & restoration

  1. Bodywork

The car was refinished in its current yellow colour scheme while in France, prior to its 2004 acquisition. The odometer read 24,611 km at this time.

Work occurred during the period when the car was offered for sale in France, approximately around 2002–2004.

  2. Bodywork

During current ownership the exterior received an additional application of yellow paint, and the original black leather interior was refurbished. At this time, all body panel numbers were verified as matching and original to chassis 4827.

Commissioned by the current owner following purchase at the 2012 RM Sotheby's sale.

  3. Mechanical

Carburettors, braking system, and suspension components were all overhauled to ensure correct operation.

Carried out during current ownership as part of a broader programme of maintenance.

This car's public record is built from its auction and competition history. Register your ownership and privately add your own records to make it a verified Legacy Metrics passport — provenance that backs your car's value at sale and gives your insurer evidence to price against. Roy reviews and verifies every registration personally.

Each chassis record is compiled from public auction archives and links to its source material. Ownership, competition and maintenance entries are extracted from those catalogue listings by an LLM, which can make mistakes — please contact us with any corrections. The summary is Legacy Metrics’ own writing; we do not reproduce catalogue text.

“Full” and “partial” documentation labels indicate how well each entry is corroborated in the underlying sources, not an audit of the car’s physical paperwork. Names of recent or living owners are withheld for privacy.
