The Fiat 8V Supersonic (chassis 000049, engine 000085) is among the rarest and most coveted of the 114 Fiat 8V chassis built, wearing the tenth of only fifteen Supersonic bodies designed by Giovanni Savonuzzi and constructed by Carrozzeria Ghia. Released from the factory in July 1953, it was exported to the United States by Chrysler chairman K.T. Keller and acquired by powerboat racing champion Lou 'The Speed King' Fageol. After passing through several notable 8V enthusiast hands, the car underwent a meticulous eight-year restoration completed around 2015, during which its original engine was reunited with the chassis.
