Ferrari 166 MM Vignale Spider Series II, chassis 0314 M, is the fourth of only six second-series Vignale-bodied spiders and the tenth of thirteen total Series II cars. Built in spring 1953 with factory competition upgrades including 212-specification mechanicals and a 340-derived rear axle, it was campaigned extensively in Italian events by its first owner before passing through numerous hands, spending decades in South Africa and Germany, being stolen in 2000, and ultimately undergoing two comprehensive restorations by DK Engineering. Ferrari Classiche subsequently rebuilt the drivetrain to period specification and issued a rare Attestato White Book in 2016.
