1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ (Sprint Zagato) Coda Tonda
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Zagato presented here is an early Coda Tonda series example, featuring Franco Scaglione's rounded coachwork on a lightweight spaceframe chassis with Perspex glazing and a stripped interior. Delivered new to Karl Foitek — a prominent Swiss Alfa Romeo distributor and champion racing driver — it was campaigned extensively in international competition during 1960 and later in historic events across Europe throughout the 1980s. It remained in Foitek's private collection for decades before passing to its current owner in 2015.
