A 1963 AC Ace Roadster fitted with the top-specification Stage 4 Ruddspeed-tuned Ford Zephyr 2.6-litre inline-six engine, producing 170 bhp via a Raymond Mays aluminium cylinder head and triple SU carburettors. One of only 37 Zephyr-engined Aces built, this car is historically significant as the model whose revised low-bonnet bodywork was carried over almost unchanged into the earliest Shelby Cobras. Ownership history from new is supported by the original UK logbook, and the car has been used in several prominent American touring rallies.
