Ferrari 365 GTB/4 'Daytona' Competizione, chassis 12467, is the third Daytona produced and the first factory-prepared competition prototype of the model. Retained at Maranello from 1969 as a development test car, it was converted to racing specification in April 1971 by Carrozzeria Sport Car under factory supervision for Luigi Chinetti's NART team, and finished 5th overall at the 1971 Le Mans 24 Hours — the final year of the 5-litre prototype era — driven by Luigi Chinetti Jr. and Bob Grossman, also taking the Index of Thermal Efficiency. It subsequently raced in North America before returning to Europe, where a full restoration to Le Mans specification was completed circa 2022 under Ferrari Classiche oversight, reuniting the original engine block and cylinder heads bearing 1971 scrutineering stamps.
