The 1958 Aston Martin DB MkIII Sports Saloon (chassis AM300/3/1626) is one of only 551 examples produced between 1957 and 1959, powered by its original matching-numbers 2,922cc twin-cam six-cylinder engine fitted with triple Weber carburettors producing approximately 195bhp. Ordered new in California, the car was delivered in Elusive Blue to a London address in August 1958 before eventually returning to American ownership. Notably, this is the model immortalised as the car driven by James Bond in Ian Fleming's novel Goldfinger. The car survives in largely unrestored original condition.
