The 1952 Ferrari 500 F2, chassis 0208F (later renumbered 0540 as a 625 F1), is the fourth of five privateer-specification cars built for preferred clients. Delivered new to Jacques Swaters for Ecurie Francorchamps, it raced in 24 events across 1952–1954, including an outright victory at the 1953 AVUS Grand Prix. Upgraded to 625 F1 specification at Maranello, it subsequently passed through the hands of Marquis Alfonso de Portago, Donald Healey, and Pierre Bardinon's celebrated Mas du Clos collection before reaching its current state, confirmed by a 2022 Ferrari Classiche inspection.
